This class focuses on simplifying complicated subject matter into shapes, form, and value using a wide range of art mediums to express and challenge the student's individual skills in drawing animals and plants. We use photo references of a different animal each week and the students are included in a step-by-step lesson of how to find those large shapes and use negative space to make sense out of those tricky angles and proportions. Once the sketch is finished, then the fun really starts by experimenting with a few different art mediums to bring our animals and botanicals to life!
