This class is perfect for students who want to focus on rendering skills and learning new ways of looking. Working with still life, we will explore rendering and shading techniques, including contour drawing, gesture drawing, cross-hatching and stippling. We will also discuss perspective, proportion and learn how to put these concepts to use. All materials are provided.

In this class, students explore how to capture the human face through both drawing and some sculpting. We’ll study facial proportions, structure, and learning how to observe and translate what we see. Using a variety of materials, students will build foundational skills while developing their own artistic voice. Ideal for those ready to slow down, look closely, and bring personality into their portraits. Expect a mix of focused skill-building and playful experimentation, where students can stretch their creativity while building confidence.

Create your own graphic novel and let your imagination come to life! During our class, we will learn drawing techniques, perspective drawing, story development, explore character design, set design, while working with various art mediums. We will delve into writing, tools and techniques, and learn how to use references, including combining and posing to bring one's vision to the page. Each student will take these skills and create their very own graphic novel. All levels welcome.

This class is designed for young artists ages 7+ who love to draw and want to take their skills to the next level! Through fun still-life drawing projects, students will learn to look closely, notice interesting details, and turn what they observed into drawings.

We’ll experiment with different ways to draw lines, shapes, light, and shadows using techniques like contour drawing, gesture drawing, cross-hatching, and stippling. Along the way, students will explore perspective and proportion and learn simple tricks for making their drawings feel more realistic and three-dimensional.
