This class is for beginners who wish to learn figure drawing. Throughout the 8-week course, we will start with dynamic gestures, move on to precise proportions, learn how to execute lines, and cover shading and rendering, all while focusing on the fundamentals of figure drawing. This course will equip you with a solid understanding of how to observe, comprehend, and eventually draw a figure. Adding personal interpretation and artistic expression is encouraged in this class. After all, it is your exciting journey to explore the beauty within human forms!

Charcoal pencil: 2B, 4B or 6B, Soft vine charcoal or willow (optional)

Kneaded eraser; Xacto knife; Newsprint pad (smooth surface), 18"x24";
