Felicia Forte is a representational oil painter based in Detroit, Michigan. She has exhibited and worked full time as an artist since 2010, and has been featured in many publications and podcasts. Felicia is also a sought after instructor of painting having taught at various institutions including The de Young Museum of Fine Art, The Walt Disney Family Museum. She travels internationally to teach workshops. In December, 2013 she was awarded a residency at The de Young Museum of Fine Art in San Francisco. In 2014 she participated as faculty at the Plein Air Convention and Expo in Monterey, California. In 2015 and 2016 Felicia's Self Portrait exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery in London for The BP Portrait Award. In 2017 she has been resident and grant recipient at the "Redbull House of Art" project in Detroit. Felicia maintains a studio in Detroit, where she works and offers instruction to private students both in person and online.
